Orderly book, 1759-1778.

Orderly book kept by Sgt. Erastus Harris of Medway, Mass. Harris recorded orders while at Castle Island (Boston) and Fort Cumberland (Nova Scotia) under the command of Joseph Frye and Brig. Gen. Timothy Ruggles as a member of Frye's regiment of Mass. Provincials during the French and Indian War (1759-60), and while stationed with the 1st Massachusetts Regiment of Guards under the command of Col. Jonathan Reed from Apr.-June 1778.
